Buchanan map port

Buchanan port is located some 170 miles southeast of Monrovia.
Two breakwaters, 1,890 m and 590 m long protect the harbor. 
Inside the basin, a 257m long ore-loading quay is located adjacent to the deeper section of the harbor basin with a water depth of 12.6m below chart datum. 
Adjacent to the loading quay, a waiting berth for ore carriers is available. 

On the inner side of the secondary breakwater, a commercial quay, 310 m long, is located with an available water depth of 9.7 m. 
The access channel to the port provides ships a water depth of 14.95 m below chart datum and a channel width between the breakwaters of 210 m.

Sinoe Map Port

Soundings taken along the pier indicate a berthing space of 90 meters, measured from the bend / corner to the middle of the entire length. The access channel draught is 7.8.
The port can accomodate vessels provided the below listed suggestions as followed :

1. Length overall (LOA) of vessel calling at the Port of Greenville shall not be more than 85 meters.
2. All berthings and unberthings of vessels 85 meters shall take place with  buoys .
3. Berthings and unberthings shall take place during high water only.
4. Berthings and unberthings operations shall take place during day light only.
5. All berthings and unberthings of vessels 85 meters must take place with a tug
6. Mobilization of tug from Buchanan is expensive due to mob & demob
7. Greenville is a really remote & difficult area
