Nigeria - Port Harcourt :
It has been observed that some offtake tankers tender Notice of Readiness by email through their agent to the terminal and start recording time immediately. Most of the time, these tankers are not within radio contact range with the terminal. Please note that NOR tendered without radio contact with the terminal will not be accepted. Only NOR tendered by radio contact with the terminal will be acknowledged and time recorded in the time sheet.

Congo Dem. Rep. - Matadi :
The RVM (navigation authority) has bought some spare parts to repair and get the second dredger unit working again. Expected to be working end August latest, RVM will be able to increase drafts substantially. The Navigation Office maintain the official drafts at 20'00''. Due to layout of the passes at buoy 46 particularly, We suggest unofficially to stick on 18'05'' maximum for vessels with more than 160 m and 19'00'' max for vessels with less than 160 m. A meeting was planned on Friday between navigation office and shipping agents. it appears that assistance of shipping lines will be required to help navigation office in dredging units repairs.
